Quick Start

Getting Started in Internet Marketing

Getting Started Quick
The very first thing you will want to do is set up your hosting and mailing list accounts. You will need these tools for the programs on this page.

Even if you are going to do affiliate marketing to start out with, you will want to have your own website for two reasons.
  1. You will want the capability of capturing your leads. In affiliate marketing you drive traffic, make sales, earn your commission, but you are losing that email address that can be followed up on for future sales.
  2.  Having your own site enables you to advertise many different products and services with banners and text links in your posts.

There are several to chose from, but the most widely used and acceptable are Hostgator and Aweber

Aweber is one of the easiest tools to use for an autoresponder. It is also in my opinion the best value for the money. You can start for $1.00, then twenty bucks a month.
Aweber has step-by-step instuctions and video tutorials.

You can use Listwire, it is what I use and is free, but it does not come with instructions so you must know what you are doing.

My suggestion is to get everything set up first, then add your auto responder. When you are ready, you can access Aweber here.

Hostgator has many different options including free site builders and video tutorials. They also have excellent support via chat, email, and 24/7 live phone support.

You will also want to purchase your domain name from Hostgator. This will make things a lot easier on you. There are cheaper domain name providers, but it will create extra work for you and Hostgator charges a fee to transfer domain names after the first one.

I made the video below to help you get started. You will want to chose the "baby" plan. The video below explains this.

I want to invite all to link to my blog. This blog has age and link juice. It has been up since 2010. There are however a couple of rules;

NO SPAM!! I will only delete it

It must to a website or blog you own or manage, and comments must be enabled so I can comment on your blog to complete the link.

NO Affiliate links, however you can post a social or service link.

Comments must be at least one sentence on the topic of the article, otherwise I will consider it spam.

Just go to the blog, choose a post, leave a comment, and post your link. Thanks, and have a great day!!
